Author Visits with Allison Rozo (and depending on availability Rafael Rozo) Include​

• The inspiration behind Allison & Rafael's book(s)

• Personal photos and stories that have influenced Allison's life and writing

• Insights into the writing and publication process – from where ideas come from to the importance of revision (including early sketches, drafts, and how to fight writer's block!)

• Strategies Allison uses to bring story book ideas to life

• Fun book related props and crafts (depending on the size of the group)

• Q&A with students

Note: Students are most engaged if they read at least one of my books prior to the author visit!

Fees

​

All prices below include a Q&A session with Allison Rozo as well as a book signing. Presentations range from 45 to 60 minutes, with shorter options available for younger audiences. Rates are based on presentations being in the same building/location. For all half-day and full-day visits, Allison is happy to join students and/or faculty for lunch.

• $400: Single Presentation (only available for schools within 1 hour drive of Akron, OH)

• $700:  Half day –  2 presentations,  scheduled back-to-back

• $1,200:  Full day – up to 4 presentations

• $200: Virtual / 45 Minutes (K-5, individual classrooms)
  (Free with school book purchases for all students.) Using Google Meets, Zoom, or we can discuss the conferencing software of your choice, students will be able to interact with me as I read one of my books. We’ll have time for Q&A as well. I request a 5 minute test call at least one day before. Please provide attentive teachers to assist with classroom management, and prepare the students ahead of time by reading at least one of my books or by sharing a project that we can discuss.

 

Travel Fees:

Allison travels from her home in Akron, OH. Travel & lodging fees may be shared between schools/libraries.

• Up to 30 minute drive —  No travel fees

• 30 minute to 1.5 hour drive —  $0.65/ mile travel fee

• 1.5+ hour drive — $0.65/mile travel fee (or flight) in addition to safe/clean hotel accommodations and meals where applicable.
